Currently, Crystal is a Dental Hygiene Program Director at Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory, NC. Ambitiously, she reached her educational goals by earning a Master’s degree in Higher Education, Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership, Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene, and a Dental Assisting Diploma, along with other continuing education certifications.
As a dental hygiene educator, Crystal is avid about teaching dental hygiene students and helping them understand the dental sciences. Also, she is passionate about advocating and advancing the dental hygiene profession. She is past president of the North Carolina Dental Hygiene Association and has also served in other positions within the association. She serves on numerous committees, such as the North Carolina Dental Society Council of Prevention and Oral Health, the NC Committee for Dental Health, and the NC Dental Opioid Workgroup.
