Dr. Andra Ferguson, RDH, LPC, PHD
Dr. Andra Ferguson is currently the Director of Dental Hygiene at State Fair Community College. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from University of Missouri-Kansas City and has practiced as a dental hygienist for 20+ years. She received a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Central Missouri State University; she received a PhD in Heath Psychology from Walden University and has practiced in the field of psychology for 20+ years.
She has taught graduate and undergraduate students in programs for both dental hygiene and psychology. Specifically, she has taught psychopharmacology, pharmacology, medically compromised treatment, periodontology, pathology, clinical courses, and wellness courses. Andra Ferguson is a member of several boards and teams addressing issues related to both dental hygiene and psychology. She has given presentations on a variety of related topics to professionals in several countries and cites in Asia, Africa, Europe, South America, and North America.
