Rita Hernandez, B.S.D.H., R.D.H., M.S.
Rita is a native of Dallas, Texas and she currently lives in the Dallas/Ft.Worth metroplex. She received both her BS and MS in Dental Hygiene from Texas Woman’s University in 1976 and 1984. Rita has been in dental hygiene education since 1982.
In her career, Rita has had the privilege and honor to have held teaching positions at 4 exemplary dental hygiene programs in Texas; Tarrant County College, Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry-Caruth School of Dental Hygiene, Texas Woman’s University and Concorde Career College-Dallas.
Her teaching experience includes Clinical Coordinator and Course Director for PreClinic and Dental Public Health. She served as a WREB examiner from 2014-2018. In 2018 she was named Teacher of the Year by the Texas Association of Career Colleges and Schools.
